On February 28, 2008, Karen Armstrong won the Technology Education and Design (TED) Prize and made a wish for help in creating, launching and propagating a Charter for Compassion. Since that day, thousands of people have contributed to the process so that on November 12, 2009, the Charter was unveiled to the world.
As of 11/21/09, the time of this writing and only 9 days after it's launching, the Charter had been signed by 19,582 people.
I was so inspired by this magnificent effort that I decided to include this page on my site. All successful relationships are built upon compassion. If you are reading this because you are seeking greater peace and harmony in your own relationship, you might want to consider adding your voice to the thousands of others, religious and non-religious word-wide, who seek to make compassion a clear, luminous and dyamic force in our world. I hope you will take a moment, as I did, to visit the Charter's site today.
